Destiny Image Relaunches LIVE Radio Interviews!

Destiny Image is excited to announce the re-launch of our internet radio program, “The Voice of Destiny!”

This Thursday, October 11, 2012, at 3:00 P.M. EST will be the first of several scheduled LIVE interviews.  Each interview gives listeners the opportunity to call-in with questions or comments during the interview!  It’s a great way to get to know some of your favorite authors, as well as hear firsthand their own feelings regarding their books.

Pastor Sue Curran, author of “Define Your Destiny Through Prayer: Your Journey to Divine Revelation,” will join our host, Larry Sparks, to discuss how the Holy Spirit can teach you how to pray “according to the will of God” to establish your personal, Spirit-breathed destiny.  Curran’s book teaches the reader that you can live in the supernatural realm of prayer to experience revival, healing, miracles of finance and a harvest of souls. Miraculous intervention can characterize your life through simple obedience in a Spirit-led walk with God.

Sue Curran and her husband, John, are cofounders and pastors of Shekinah Church in Blountville, Tennessee. Dr. Curran earned a Master’s and Doctor of Divinity degree from Christian Life School of Theology, and is an adjunct professor for Beacon Institute of Ministry.  She is the author of several books, and her ministry extends to all continents and crosses many cultural and ethnic boundaries.

Join us every Thursday at 3:00 P.M. EST to hear LIVE interviews with some of your favorite Destiny Image authors, and even some of Destiny Image’s film directors, writers and producers.

Check out our page to view the schedule of upcoming shows.  This page also allows you to listen to the interviews.

 Caitlyn Waltermire, Brian Douglas Barker

Synopsis:
“No Lost Cause” is the story of Beth Ann Collins, a pretty young woman who is tragically paralyzed after being hit by a drunk driver. As a result, she is forced to live with her estranged father, Billy. Doctors give her little hope of recovery. Beth Ann becomes increasingly angry and spiteful, lashing out at everyone around her, as her chances of a full recovery lessen. But Billy refuses to give up on her, enlisting the help of youth at his church who befriend Beth Ann. They have faith in something more powerful than a doctor’s diagnosis.

Dove Worldview:
“No Lost Cause” is a winner and a terrific inspirational drama. It has an appropriate title as a young man, a Christian named Nick (Nils Hamilton), sees a wounded person beneath the hard veneer of Beth Ann Collins (Caitlyn Waltermire). She is a woman injured by a drunken driver and forced to live life in a wheelchair. She is hardened and bitter and takes out her vitriolic attitude on those unfortunate enough to be around her. But Nick won’t give up on her, wheeling her outside to get some fresh air, playing a game of horse shoes with her, and telling her about God’s love for her. He even tells a friend, “I think she has a good heart…deep down!”

Beth Ann is also bitter toward her dad, Billy (Brian Douglas Barker), not realizing that her mother has pushed Beth Ann off on her father because her dad can take the difficult times. She calls her father “Billy” but realizes by film’s end what a gift he actually is to her. When she was a child, her mother Jenna left her father because she couldn’t handle his getting close to God, something which Beth Ann does not know about. She thought her dad didn’t want to be with her when she was younger which just isn’t true.

When Beth Ann realizes she has feelings for Nick and is able to forgive the man who caused her injuries, a miracle happens shortly afterward. The ending is sure to make a lot of people happy including our viewers who enjoy some romantic moments in life. This is a wonderful story with strong themes of forgiving and loving people right where they are. We are very pleased to award this movie our Faith Friendly Seal for ages twelve plus.

Freedom Fighter Press Release

Destiny Image Films Announces the DVD Release of Award-Winning Documentary ‘Freedom Fighter’

WINNER – Gold Award – California Film Awards

WINNER – Best International Documentary – San Diego Christian Film Festival

WINNER – Best Documentary Feature – Colorado Film Awards

(NASHVILLE, Tennessee) — FREEDOM FIGHTER, the award-winning human rights documentary, debuts on DVD April 24th from Destiny Image Films. Directed by Chris Atkins, this powerful film documents the work of Majed El Shafie as he travels to Afghanistan and Pakistan seeking out those persecuted for their religious beliefs, and challenging their governments to change.

FREEDOM FIGHTER documents one such trip to Pakistan, where Majed meets 4-year-old Neha. Raped at the age of 2 in an attempt to force her family to convert from Christianity to Islam, Neha and her family must live in hiding as extremists hunt them. We follow Majed as he desperately works to get Neha and her family out of Pakistan. The film also explores persecution in Iraq, China and Egypt. Interviews with victims, activists and politicians help to tell Majed’s story as well as the larger story of persecution taking place around the world.

Born in Egypt, Majed was arrested, tortured and sentenced to die after converting from Islam to Christianity. Majed managed to escape to Israel, before eventually settling in Canada where he founded One Free World International, an international human rights organization that focuses on the rights of religious minorities around the world and promotes tolerance, understanding and respect for diverse religious beliefs. The organization promotes awareness of human rights abuses and comes to the aid of those who are suffering because of their religious beliefs or expression.

In November, Majed testified before the U.S. House of Representatives’ Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, and Human Rights, and in March he testified before the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission, co-chaired by Congressman Wolf and Congressman McGovern. Last week, Majed returned to DC to lead the very first Canadian delegation to visit the United States for the sole purpose of discussing freedom of religion and the rights of minorities around the world. With several Members of Canadian Parliament and Senate as observers, the delegation met with members of the U.S. Congress and Senate and other officials to discuss the American and Canadian missions to Afghanistan and Iraq, relations with Egypt and Pakistan in light of the so-called “Arab Spring” and the ensuing threats to the state of Israel.

The Lamp takes home 3 awards

Jim Stovall’s latest novel to be made into a movie by director Tracy J. Trost has walked away with three awards at the Trail Dance Film Festival. The Lamp walked away with Best Feature Drama , along with Best Actor (Cameron ten Napel) and Best of Festival.

This is the second time that Jim Stovall and Tracy Trost have worked together to create a successful faith and family friendly movie. Actress Cameron ten Napel has stated, “Being nominated is an honor enough, and then to WIN! It’s a dream come true, I couldn’t have done it without all the wonderful people that surround me.”

“The Trail Dance Film Festival validated the quality of The Lamp movie and its message in two ways. First, the overwhelming positive response from the audience when The Lamp was screened and, secondly, when the film received awards for Best Drama, Best Actor, and Best of Festival.” ~ Jim Stovall, Author The Lamp, Co-Executive Producer

This will be the third year that Trost Moving Pictures (TMP) have taken awards home from this film festival. A Christmas Snow being a film festival favorite took home four awards. A Christmas Snow starred  Catherine Mary Stewart, Muse Watson, Cameron ten Napel, and Anthony Tyler Quinn.

Destiny Image Films hopes to see The Lamp: Just Believe continue to receive awards for the hard efforts of both Jim Stovall and Tracy J. Trost.

Statements made by actors were taken from:
